Miami is the most populous country in Florida. It is located on the Miami River, between the Florida Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. The City of Miami is known as the “Magic City”. Miami is also known for its diverse culture and ethnicities.

Miami is home to many entertainment venues, theatres, museums, parks and performing arts centres. There often take place many attracts such as operas, ballets, concerts or musicals. Other performing arts venues in Miami include the Gusman Centre for the Performing Arts, Coconut Grove Playhouse, Colony Theatre, Lincoln Theatre, New World Symphony House, Playground Theatre or Bayfront Park Amphitheatre for outdoor music events. Adrienne Arsht Centre for the Performing Arts is Miami's largest performing arts centre and it is located on Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. It is the third-largest performing arts centre in the United States. The city is home to numerous museums. These include the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, Jewish Museum of Florida, Miami Art Museum, Miami Children's Museum or Miami Science Museum.

Miami is definitely a great place to visit with kids. Some of the best museums and interactive science centres in Florida are located here. If you prefer some outdoor activity, parents will find plenty of beaches and parks that kids can use as playground. You can visit the Miami Seaquarium, Miami Metrozoo, Biscayne National Park, Biscayne Nature Centre, and Jungle Island.

The largest and most popular parks in Miami are Bayfront Park and Bicentennial Park, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Tropical Park, Watson Island or Morningside Park. You can also visit the Parrot Jungle, which offers visitors a fun, educational opportunity to know and look at tropical birds. A unique park is also the Monkey Jungle. The Kampong is a tropical garden in Coconut Grove, an area of the city of Miami. It is one of the five gardens of the non-profit National Tropical Botanical Garden. It is open to visitors and an admission fee is charged. Miami is also a major fashion centre, home to models and some of the top modelling agencies in the world.
